CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
May 19, 2009 MEETING

Sallie Craig introduced Ilaria Mugnos, a Rotary Exchange Student from Milan, Italy. She has resided in several cities in the USA since arriving in Aug.08. Her presentation included the location of historic sites in Italy,its political history,(became a republic in 1946), the geology and zoology of the country. A list of Italy's famous artists and musicians was shown. Modern Italy is famous for food and drink.

CLUB ANNOUNCEMENTS
Assistant Dist Gov Gordon Hamrick was welcomed by Pres Jay. Mark Howe announced that the Second Annual Sandra Kistler Memorial Golf Tournament scholarship awards went to Latisha Sims at Crest High School and John Lovelace at Burns High School. Pres Jay told of a new member recruiting program using the "START WITH ROTARY" business cards. The CC Chamber events were reviewed. ADG Gordon Hamrick explained the Corvette raffle results for the Polio campaign and Sallie's table dance at the Dist Conf. Don Peeler is still working on the Tree Farm grant for Malawi.
                              
The Jackpot is now $233.

ATTENDANCE was 61%.

Our Club needs food and staples for the Homeless Shelter and magazines for the hospital. Each donation is worth one meeting makeup.
